History
Vincenzo Calderone was born in 1946. At the age of 18 years old he started his career as a painter and decorator in the Principality of Monaco, at the largest and oldest firm of painters.
He worked there for over 20 years, until he became, in the last five of them, the site manager of that prestigious company.
In 1986, he made the decision to work for himself and moved to Italy, to Bordighera.
As a result of his dedication and accomplishments, the firm grew fast and soon became widely respected.
Shortly afterwards he was joined by his son Alessandro who, in just a few years, thanks to his clear ideas and entrepreneurial spirit, learnt the work of decorator to perfection and, earning a very good reputation for himself, increased the client portfolio.
It was not long before he became the head of the company and attracted key projects that were widely acknowledged (the painting of many residences, apartments, supermarkets, banks, shops, schools, etc.).
Then came the first requests to carry out building work, lay floors and apply wall coverings.
In the year 2000, Alessandro gave a new direction to the company, moving it to the celebrated Principality of Monaco where his father Vincenzo had started 36 years previously.
It was indeed his father who helped him to penetrate the Monegasque building market.
At the age of 27, Alessandro, determined and professional, already numbered among the youngest building entrepreneurs in the Principality of Monaco.
He designed a logo and came up with a name for the new company – Caldecor.
Today, Caldecor has an extensive client portfolio.
